A revised natural gas rate for Centra Gas Manitoba is expected to lower costs for customers across the province.
The Public Utilities Board approved an interim rate decrease for the corporation, effective Nov. 1.
The board estimates the change will save customers approximately $16 annually, or 2.7 per cent. However, actual savings will vary depending on individual customer usage.
The board also stated that revised delivery charges will refund more than $42 million in non-commodity gas costs accumulated between Nov. 1, 2023, and Oct. 31, 2026.
The Gas Commodity rate will be reviewed again on Feb. 1.
