Carberry’s Braden Calvert had a five-game win streak and his dream of winning the World Junior Curling Championship both snapped Tuesday morning.
Calvert dropped a 6-5 extra end decision to host Switzerland in the 3-vs-4 Page Playoff game.
Calvert and his team from the Deer Lodge Curling Club in Winnipeg will now play in Wednesday’s bronze medal game against the loser of the semifinal.
That semifinal takes place on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Canada’s Kelsey Rocque advanced to the World Junior Women’s final Monday with a 7-6 victory over Korea in the 1-vs-2 Page Playoff game.
