Duncan Campbell’s return to the lineup helped spark the Brandon AAA Midget Wheat Kings to a 3-1 victory over the Eastman Selects on Friday night.
The Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s top scorer during the regular season, Campbell missed the last two games of Brandon’s playoff series with Eastman due to injury but returned to score a power-play goal in Friday’s contest.
Tanner Kaspick added a goal and an assist for Brandon Josh Kobelka completing the Wheat Kings’ scoring with a shorthanded goal into an empty-net.
Reid Stallard stopped 33 shots in the Brandon net as they tied the Best-of-Five semifinal 2-2.
The fifth and deciding game is Sunday afternoon at the Sportsplex in Brandon (1:30 p.m.)
Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Wild beat the Winnipeg Thrashers 3-1 Friday to win their Best-of-Five semifinal three games to one.
