72 games have come and gone for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Wheaties finished off the regular season at home Saturday falling 6-0 to the Regina Pats.
In the CKLQ post-game show Coach David Anning said, despite the loss, he was happy with what he saw.
"Tonight we did a better job in the 2nd and 3rd period. Obviously it was a 6-0 game but you could see some of the details, guys trying to play responsible and get to the right spots."
Brandon finished the year in 7th in the conference and will face the Medicine Hat Tigers in the first round of the playoffs.
Anning wasted no time looking ahead t that match up, "we’re going to have to make sure that we are committed to playing the right way defensively. We’re going to have to slow them down they have a lot of depth up front."
Game 1 is Friday in Medicine Hat.
