The Westman High School Hockey League will have five new teams for the 2017-18 season.
Rivers/Elton and Melita plan to return to the league after a hiatus, but McCreary, Roblin and Sandy Bay will all get new teams.
President Corey Forbes says that the new teams will bring the league up to 18 teams, and come changes will be made to the season structure.
"We’ll be looking at a different league scenario, last year we played a home and home with 13 teams, but playing a home and home with 18 teams just isn’t going to work."
Forbes says that the three new teams are very excited to join.
