Las Vegas, NV (CKLQ) – The NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights have signed Brandonite Zach Whitecloud to a three-year entry level contract.
Whitecloud recently finished his sophomore year with Bemidji State University where he registered four goals and 14 assists in 36 games.
He was an AHCA Honors First "All American Scholars" recipient this season.
He also suited up for Team Canada in the 2017 Karjala Cup, where he had one assist in two games.
He played for the Virden Oil Capitals in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for two seasons.
Whitecloud is expected to join the team on Friday when Vegas takes on the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo.
He will wear jersey No. 2 for the Golden Knights.
