The City of Brandon’s Finance Department is advising that 2020 tax bills are now being mailed out to Brandon property owners. In recognition of the financial hardships that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Manitoba may be placing on property owners, the payment deadline has been extended by one month to Friday, July 31. In addition, the City of Brandon is offering a number of flexible Tax Installment Plan options for payment of 2020 property taxes by the end of the year. Enrollment in the City of Brandon’s Installment Plan has been extended to July 15. More information can be found on the links below.
The City is also now accepting residential parking permit applications from those who reside and park on streets where specific parking regulations exist.
There is no cost to obtain an annual residential parking permit, but in order to do so, an individual must provide proof of vehicle registration and proof of residence where the vehicle will be parked. If the permit applicant is not the registered owner of the vehicle and/or the owner of the property at which they reside, they will need written permission from the vehicle owner and/or property owner before obtaining a permit. Permits come in the form of stickers, which are to be affixed to the inside of the registered vehicle’s windshield in such a way that it can be clearly seen by applicable parking authorities.
For more information on the residential parking permit process, individuals may contact the City of Brandon’s By-law Compliance Clerk at 204-729-223
