I traditionally do not make New Year’s resolutions because I know there is no way I’m ever going to stick to them. I suppose you could say my resolution is to not make any resolutions. According to expert analysis the majority of people who make resolutions give up on them within a few weeks. So, if that’s the case, why bother? Is it because it gives some kind of hope? Some kind of indication that things will be better if we make some changes? Or is it just so ingrained in our traditions that we must start every new year with a fresh perspective and expectations? As we head into the third full lweek of January I’m wondering how many of you that made resolutions are still sticking to them and how many have tossed them out the window.
