As a result of a number of tips provided to Powerview RCMP in the past 24-hours, they have been able to safely locate and arrest 29-year-ol Dylan Atkinson. He remains in custody.
Officers also say the tips also led them back to the home where the firearm was found and seized.
He remains in custody, and Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.

ORIGINAL STORY:
On March 3, 2021, at approximately 8:10 pm, Powerview RCMP, along with the RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services, attended a residence in Powerview, Manitoba to locate Dylan Lennon Atkinson, 29, from Winnipeg.
Police say an investigation has led officers to believe Atkinson is in possession of a submachine gun. When officers arrived at the residence, Atkinson was no longer there.
Atkinson is currently wanted on a warrant for Uttering Threats and a Canada-wide warrant for violating parole, which he is on for the following charges: Break, Enter and Commit Robbery; Possession of a Loaded, Prohibited or Restricted Firearm; Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order; Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon.
