The province is reporting no additional deaths in people with COVID-19, however there were 81 new cases.
Of the new cases; two are in the Interlake-Eastern Health region, three in Southern Health, four in Prairie Mountain Health, 35 in the Winnipeg Health region, and 37 in the Northern Health region.
In the Prairie Mountain Health region, 40 cases are active, which includes two in Brandon, while across Manitoba there are 1,261. Meantime, with the opening of a fifth super site in Morden this week, the province has met and exceeded its target of building capacity to deliver 20,000 doses of vaccine every day. This means that, if vaccine supply was not an issue, the province could administer this volume of doses every day through super sites, pop-up clinics, focused immunization teams, and the distributed model with pharmacies and medical clinics.
Appointments are currently available at supersites in Brandon as well as Winnipeg, Thompson, Selkirk and Morden and at pop-up clinics in Steinbach, Victoria Beach and Riverton. However, the eligibility list remains unchanged. It includes Manitobans aged 65 or older and First Nation people aged 45 or older.
To date, 139,591 doses of vaccine have been administered including 93,863 first doses and 45,728 second doses.
