Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. First thing in the morning we would scramble down the stairs to see what the Easter Bunny had left for us. We always colored boiled eggs for breakfast, I can still smell the vinegar from the dye mixture. Then came the Easter egg hunt to see who could collect the most chocolate goodies. Easter dinner was always a huge affair with family from all over gathering at my parent’s house to consume wayyyyy too much food. Ham was the traditional main meat dish for this event along with a multitude of sides and desserts. Breaking bread with loved ones on a special occasion – that’s the stuff memories are made of.
