WHEAT KINGS GAME DAY IS DRIVEN BY MAINLINE MOTORS
THE SETUP
The Brandon Wheat Kings and Winnipeg ICE meet for the first of two games this week in the late game of the Subway East Hub tonight. Brandon snapped a two game losing skid last night while the ICE have won six in a row and are just two points back of Brandon and Saskatoon for top spot in the East Division.

LAST TIME OUT – 8-3 Win vs Moose Jaw
For the second time this season, the Wheat Kings put up eight goals vs the Moose Jaw Warriors. Braden Schneider (3A) and Nolan Ritchie (1G-2A) led the way for Brandon while all but four players registered at least a point. Connor Ungar made a season high 37 saves for his 4th win of the season.
WHO TO WATCH
Peyton Krebs – The Vegas Golden Knights draft pick leads the WHL in scoring with 29 points. (9G-20A). 17 of those 29 points have come on the powerplay.
Conor Geekie – The son of former Wheat King Craig Geekie has quickly found his way in his rookie season with the ICE. Geekie has scored six times and added eight asissts for 14 points.

Keep Light’n The Lamp – After a season long two-game losing skid, the Wheat Kings offense busted out for eight goals last night. It was the second time this season Brandon has lit the lamp eight times. Brandon now leads the entire WHL in goals for with 72.
Group Project– All but four players found their way onto the scoresheet last night. Six players had multi-point nights and Braden Schneider (3A) and Nolan Ritchie (1G-2A) carried the mail with three point nights.
