A 66-year-old man faces an assault with a weapon charge after being arrested by Brandon police Monday (June 14) evening.
At 8:00 pm, officers responded to a report of two men arguing in the area of the 100 block of Princess Avenue, when they say, the suspect hit the victim with a metal rod, twice.
The victim did not need any medical attention. The suspect was released for a later court date.

A break and enter was reported to have occurred sometime between June 11th and June 14th at a business in the 500 block of Pacific Ave. The suspects stole an assortment of tools. This incident is still under investigation.

At 12:10 am on Tuesday (June 15) a break and enter was reported to a business in the 300 block of College Ave. The suspect was spotted entering the compound and police were notified and attended the scene. The police K9 unit was used to track the suspect, a 51-year-old man, who was located in the area pushing a cart from the business loaded with tools. He was held for court Tuesday (June 15) morning.

At 3:20 am Tuesday (June 15) morning police checked a male subject in the 2200 block of Richmond Ave and it was learned that he was not abiding by his curfew. The 31-year-old man was arrested and released for a later court date.
