Brandon police received multiple reports of break and enters throughout the past week involving sheds, garages, and unlocked vehicles in the south central area of Brandon. The break and enters are believed to have occurred between October 10th and October 16th, 2022. No suspects have been identified; however, the incidents are believed to be connected. Items stolen include various tools and personal identification. Police continue to investigate. Police urge the public to ensure vehicles and outside sheds and garages are locked to help prevent these types of crimes.

At 1:20 pm, Oct 16th, police were flagged down in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue by an individual who indicated their vehicle was just stolen. Shortly thereafter police located the vehicle in the 800 block of Frederick Street. A 28 year old man was arrested for the theft and held in custody for court in the morning.

At 3:43 pm, Brandon police attended to a residence in the 400 block of 17th Street for a report of an unwanted male. Police say a 30 year old man was arrested for failing to comply with a release order as he was on a condition not to communicate with an individual at that location. He was released for court on December 12, 2022.

Police attended to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of 12th Street. Police say a 49 year old man and a 42 year old woman were both arrested for domestic assault. They were separated and released for court on December 15th & 19th.

At 7:05 pm, Brandon police responded to a theft complaint at a business in the 800 block of 18th Street North. They say suspects had stolen merchandise from several stores in the area. Police later conducted a vehicle stop and say numerous stolen items were located in the vehicle. A 39 year old man was arrested for the theft, and was also found to have a warrant for theft. He was held for court on October 17th. A 30 year old man, and a 40 year old woman were also arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. They were released for court on December 19th, 2022.

Arrest Warrants:
A 22 year old man was arrested in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue on a warrant for failing to attend court.
A 53 year old man turned himself in at BPS on a warrant for fraud.
A 35 year old woman was arrested in the 100 block of 11th Street on a warrant for failing to attend court and failing to comply with probation.
