On September 5, 2022 shortly after 8:00 am, Brandon police responded to a report that there were two individuals who appeared to be going through vehicles in the parking lot of a business in the 1100 block of 18th street. Further investigation led police to discover that one of the vehicles they had gone through had the steering column damaged.
Police located and arrested the two males a short distance away.
A 31-year-old male was later released and will appear in court on November 7, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Mischief Under $5000 and Attempt Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
A 42-year-old male was later released to appear in court on November 7, 2022 on a charge of Mischief Under $5000.
