On September 8, 2022, at approximately 2:30 pm, Brandon police responded to a request to check on the wellbeing of a family with young children. While at the residence, police observed a firearm. Members of the Major Crime Section then secured the home and obtained a search warrant, which resulted on officers locating and seizing the following:
Sawed off shotgun with ammunition
Sawed of .22 with ammunition
Three replica pellet guns
Stolen Giant Mountain bike
Stolen Trek Mountain bike
Approximately ½ oz. Cocaine individually packaged for sale
Canadian Currency
As well as other property which has yet to be determined if it is stolen property as well. The two bikes were able to be returned to their rightful owners as they had documented the serial numbers when they reported them stolen.

Police arrested a 34-year-old female. She was later released to appear in court on November 10, 2022 on charges of: Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X2, Careless Storage of a Firearm X2, Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized X2, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition X2, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
A second individual who was wanted on outstanding charges was found on the property and arrested. A 27-year-old man was later released to appear in court on October 26, 2022 on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Attend Court.

At 6:50 am, Sept 11, 2022 police responded to a report of a man passed out in the 300’ block of McTavish Avenue. A 30 year old man was located and lodged at BPS to be released once sober.

At 8:18 am, Sept 11, 2022 Brandon police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 200’ block of 4th Street. A 23 year old female was found to be the subject of the complaint. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear in court later in the afternoon.

At 2:57 am, Sept 12, 2022 police conducted a vehicle stop in the 000’ block of Princess Avenuw. Police say the 20 year old female driver was found to be impaired. She was transported to BPS where she provided samples of her breath over the legal limit. She was given a court date of September 15th, 2022, to deal with the charges.
