‘Your Home Store – Ukrainian/European Groceries’ at 320-10th Street in Brandon is collecting donations for the people of Ukraine.
In a social media post this week, the store’s owners and volunteers posted a list of items that are needed. They include:

Baby food (ex. Baby gourmet)
Diapers (any size)
Baby wipes
Pads
Oat meal
Instant noodle
Granola bars
Travel size shampoo
Soap
Bandage
Plaster
Diapers
Toiletries
First Aid Kits
Anti-burn gel
Painkillers (Tylenol, Advil)
Gauze wrap
Iodine
Hydroperoxide
Any antiseptic
Antimicrobial creams/ointment
Tourniquets
Knee pads
Elbow pads
Thermal night vision optical
Binoculars (regular and for night vision)
Tactical gloves
Hearing protection plugs
Ballistic eyewear/glasses
Walkie-talkie (ex.Motorola)
Powerbanks
Bulletproof vests/tactical vests
Tactical backpacks
Helmets (3-rd level protection)
Army/ballistic vest (4-th level protection and higher)

The most urgent items, according to Julia Krykavska, a volunteer with the donation drive, are medical supplies like bandages, painkillers and disinfectants.
The first round of donations are already in Winnipeg, and are to be loaded on a plane on Friday to be sent to Poland, and then driven to Ukraine. ‘Your Home Store – Ukrainian/European Groceries’ is open from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The social media post ends with “Our Ukrainian community in Manitoba would like to thank each and everyone of you who sending donations, prayers and support to us and our families in this difficult time for our Motherland. It is very much appreciated.”
