The Wheat Kings are still searching for their first win during this Central Division Road Trip.

The Wheat Kings suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Medicine Hat Tigers on Wednesday. It was a game where the Wheat Kings were down 2-0 early and pretty much chased the game for the reminder of the night.

A positive to take out of the evening was the powerplay continuing to click with Jake Chiasson scoring his 7th of the year to improve their special teams numbers. In the end the Tigers took advantage of a beaten up Wheat Kings roster which included Mason Ward, Brett Hyland, Ben Thornton and Zach Turner all out with injury.

Tonight (Nov 18) in Edmonton, the Wheat Kings are looking to get back on track against the Oil Kings at Rogers Place.

The Oil Kings are in a clear rebuild year after making their way to a Memorial Cup run last year. They only have two victories to show this season, and they have already dealt their top players to destinations looking to contend for a WHL Championship. This might be what the doctor ordered for the Wheat Kings to snap this losing skid and get back on track.

Listen to the game on Q Country 91.5 & 880 AM. The pre-game show begins at 7:45 pm, followed by the puck drop and play-by-play with Chase Johnston at 8:00 pm.
