Carberry’s Braden Calvert and Team Canada are 0-2 to start at the World Junior Curling Championship in Switzerland.
The Canadians gave up two in the tenth end to fall 6-5 to Sweden on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, Calvert and his Winnipeg-based rink dropped an 8-6 decision against Russia.
"We were just on the wrong side of the inch all day, and we weren’t as sharp as we needed to be today," said Calvert in a Canadian Curling Association media release. "We’re just going to sharpen up and have a good practice on the sheet we’ll play tomorrow and we’ll be good."
Calvert will face Italy Thursday morning (7 a.m. CST).
Meanwhile, Edmonton’s Kelsey Rocque is a perfect 2-0 to start the worlds.
