On October 11, 2022, Brandon police learned of the passing of the 80-year-old pedestrian due to injuries sustained during the motor vehicle collision on October 4, 2022.
On October 12, 2022, police arrested the 67-year-old male who was driving the vehicle that struck the victim. He was released and will appear in court on December 12, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Remain at Accident Scene Causing Death.

On October 4th, at 10:00 am, a report was received of a single motor vehicle vs pedestrian collision at the crosswalk in the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue. A Ford F150 pickup was travelling westbound when it struck an 80 year old man who was crossing the street. The driver of the truck failed to remain at the scene of the collision. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. At 4:15 pm, police located the driver of the truck and placed him under arrest. A 67 year old man was held in custody as the investigation continues.

On October 12, 2022, police located and arrested a 24-year-old man following an investigation into the alleged ongoing sexual abuse of a female child between the spring of 2017 and the spring of 2022 when the child was 5 to 9 years old. Police say the suspect was later released and will appear in court on December 5, 2022 on charges of Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, and Invitation to Sexual Touching.

On October 10, 2022, Brandon police received a report of an assault at a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street. Police say on October 2, 2022, two customers entered the business and one of the suspects allegedly punched the employee over a disagreement. The second suspect then reportedly damaged a store display. The employee did not require medical attention.
On October 12, 2022, police located and arrested a 21-year-old man. He was later released to appear in court on December 5, 2022 on a charge of Assault. Police also located and arrested a 56-year-old man. He was later released to appear in court on December 12, 2022 on charges of Uttering Threats and Mischief Under $5000.

On October 12, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue. Police say it appears suspects gained entry by forcing a window between October 9 and October 12. Once inside they stole a bicycle. On October 9, 2022, Brandon police received information of a break and enter to a storage area at a business in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. They say a suspect entered the secure area at approximately 9:25 am and his image was captured on security system images, which assisted police in identifying him. It did not appear that anything was stolen. October 12, 2022, police located and arrested a 34-year-old man. He was later released and will appear in court on December 12, 2022 on a charge of Break and Enter with Intent.

On October 6, 2022, police received a report of a 28-year-old man who had attended a location knowing two individuals with whom he was to abstain from communicating with were located. On October 12, 2022, police located and arrested the suspect. He was later released to appear in court on December 8, 2022.

On October 13, 2022 shortly after 5:00 am, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop on 1st Street at the Eastern Bypass. Police say the driver was to abide by a curfew and was arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

On October 13, 2022, police located and arrested a 37-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X2, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Attend Court. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
On October 13, 2022, police located and arrested a 38-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Utter Forged Documents and Fraud Under $5000. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
