The first 'Indoor Story Walk' begins this Friday, February 3rd at Brandon Shoppers Mall.

Healthy Brandon and the Western Manitoba Regional Library says in a media release, "this activity is available for all ages and was created to build and foster a love of reading while encouraging movement for all.

“It is a great activity to help beat the winter blues by getting people moving and reading during I Love to Read Month,” says Nikki Dean, Health Promotion Coordinator from Prairie Mountain Health who also chairs the Story Walk working group.

The book featured at this year’s walk is 'How the Cougar Came to be Called the Ghost Cat' by Michael James Isaac which is beautifully illustrated by Dozay (Arlene) Christmas.

Participants can enjoy reading and walking together and once they have completed the story walk trail they can enter their names for a chance to win one of three winter fun prize pack."
