On June 2, 2021, at approximately 8:50 pm, Prairie Mountain RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on Pioneer Avenue, in Rossburn.
It was reported that shots were fired and three suspects were seen fleeing the area in a pick-up truck. When officers arrived, the residence was vacant but there were signs that someone had been injured at the home.
A short time later RCMP were notified that a male had shown up at the hospital with injuries. He remains in hospital.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety at this time.

On June 3, 2021, at approximately 1:15 am, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on 2nd Street NW, in Portage la Prairie.
A male suspect entered the residence with an improvised firearm, threatened and assaulted the occupants, stole items and fled on foot.
Officers located the suspect and he was arrested without incident after a short foot pursuit.
The suspect was found to be in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Bradley Houle, 29, has been charged with;

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence
Assault with a Weapon
Carrying a Concealed Weapon
Breaking and Entering
Possession of a Firearm when Knowing Possession is Unauthorized
Weapons Possession contrary to order x2
Uttering Threats
He was remanded into custody.
