Brandon police arrested a 22-year-old woman Monday (May 24) afternoon for allegedly trying to steal a purse from a shopping cart at a business in the 2600′ block of Victoria Ave.
Officers say employees were able to get the purse away from the suspect before she fled.
The woman is set to appear in court in August on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

On May 24, 2021, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 100 block of Middleton Ave shortly after 9:00 pm. Two people were witnessed entering the building, which should have been unoccupied.
A 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested nearby and later released to appear in court in August on charges of Break and Enter with Intent.

On May 24, 2021, police located and arrested a 29-year-old man who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Break and Enter with Intent. He was later released to appear in court in June.
