If you’re going RV’ing, you’re going to be barbecuing, and to add more flavour to your summer grilling, Brandon’s Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre has expanded it’s line of barbecue sauces this year.
GM Ryan Main says in tribute to the western provinces, they’ve added 4 more flavours to their signature Poncho’s Pik sauce. “Manitoba’s sauce is a chicken and rib sauce, BC is a peach grilling sauce, Alberta’s is a spicy steak sauce and Saskatchewan’s is a Carolina mustard.” He says their original Poncho’s Pik sauce is a honey hickory chipotle.
In an interview with https://bdnmb.ca/ Main says “Saskatchewan’s flavour honours the farming community with its gentle mustard flavour and golden colour. It’s a delicious sauce on pork or chicken and we think it’s great for dipping chicken fingers too. Alberta’s flavour honours the farmers and ranchers that bring us some of the best beef in the world. This sauce is a bold and spicy steak sauce and is great on your favourite cut of steak or even a blue cheese burger. British Columbia’s sauce is reminiscent of the fresh Okanagan peaches you get in August each year. Try it on salmon for a fresh and fun twist on grilling.”
And Manitoba’s is all about the province’s hard-working, resilient and versatile people. “Our sauce reflects that. It’s a great chicken and rib sauce and fabulous on just about everything.”
They’re priced at $8-dollars a bottle – or the set of 4 for $30.
By the way, Main says RV sales are as hot as hot sauce this year as more Manitobans are choosing camping for summer vacay because of the pandemic.
