What’s Open and What’s Closed on Canada Day.
BRANDON RIVERBANK:
-There are no Canada Day fireworks this year due to COVID-19 – but the Discovery Centre will be open 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
CITY OF BRANDON:
– Brandon City Hall (410-9th Street), the City of Brandon Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Avenue East), and the A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue) will all be closed on Wednesday, July 1st in observance of Canada Day, and will re-open for regular business hours on Thursday, July 2nd.
– Residents should note that numerous COVID-19 protocols are in place at these facilities, a full list of which can be found at https://www.brandon.ca/covid-19-updates.
– Brandon Transit will NOT run on Wednesday, July 1st and the Transit Information Centre will be closed. Regular hours of operation will resume on Thursday, July 2nd.
– Regular Wednesday Refuse/Recycling/Green Cart collection will proceed as normal on Canada Day. Hours of operation at the Eastview Landfill on Canada Day are from 8 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. and the Landfill Administration office will be closed.
– Brandon’s five spray parks are open for public use on July 1st from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please note that a number COVID-19 protocols are in place at these facilities.

GROCERY STORES:
– The Real Canadian Superstore (920 Victoria Ave.) will be closed.
– Sobeys Extra Brandon South (1645 18th St.) and Sobeys Brandon West (3409 Victoria Ave.) will be closed.
– The Co-op Marketplace (1035 Richmond Ave.) will be closed.
– Safeway (Corral Centre) will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
– Walmart Supercentre (Corral Centre) will be closed.
LIQUOR:
– Brandon’s three full Liquor Mart locations will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Express location in Sobeys West will be closed.
– The Keystone Beer Company (1865 Brandon Ave.) will be open from 10 a.m. until midnight.
– Victoria Inn (3550 Victoria Ave.) will be open from 11 a.m. until midnight.
– The 40 (210 18th St. N.) will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
MEDICAL CLINICS:
– The Newmount Medical Clinic at 624 18th St. will be closed.
– The Brandon Clinic at 620 Dennis St. will be closed.
– Brandon Clinic West at 2835 Victoria Ave. will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
– Wheat City Clinic at 1711 Kirkcaldy Dr. will be closed.
– The Western Medical Clinic at 2425 Victoria Ave. will be closed.
– Rosser Medical Group at 841 Rosser Ave. will be closed.
– Trinity Medical Clinic at 335 18th St. will be closed.
PHARMACIES:
– Brandon’s Shoppers Drug Mart locations (139 Victoria Avenue East – and 1350 18th Street) will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
OTHERS:
– The Western Manitoba Regional Library’s two Brandon branches will be closed.
– The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– The Brandon Shoppers Mall will be closed.
COVID-19 TESTING:
Prairie Mountain Health’s COVID-19 testing sites in Brandon, Dauphin and Swan River will be closed for Canada Day.
