Back in the day, you used to want to make as much money as possible and then your grandparents would leave some money to your parents when they pass, and your parents would trickle that down to you because inheritance was a thing.
Some people got like a couple of grand, some people got a huge amount of money and some people got things like houses.
So now people just aren't going to do that. Nobody has any money anymore with everything being so expensive!
In a study out of Australia, people are living large and blowing through their kids inheritance fund. First of all it's not their inheritance unless you say it is. So they are blowing through that money and enjoying themselves instead of passing it down to their kids.
Which I completely agree with! My parents have worked hard they deserve to live it up and enjoy themselves. It sounds bad but I'm an adult. I'm 24 I have a career I have a house like I'm self efficient now. I don't need an inheritance
Lord knows when I get up there in age I probably won't leave any money for my kids. I gave them life! they owe me.
Where do you stand on inheritance? Will you leave something behind or enjoy yourself
