There’s an old adage that there are three sides to every story – his, hers, and the truth. Recently I came across a story posted by a friend on Facebook. Cole’s notes version – guy gets ex to look after his dog while he’s away, she sells it, he searches til he finds who bought it only to find that they refuse to give it back. Realizing there has to be more we did a little recognizance to get to the bottom of the story. Turns out it wasn’t his dog, paperwork proves it belonged to the ex to begin with, and the people who took it in are a wonderful family that will take excellent care of the dog. Unfortunately, due to the powers of social media and people’s willingness to believe everything they hear, this family has been inundated with threats and had to shut down their social media. I sincerely hope things settle down for them and they can come to enjoy their new furbaby. Sounds to me like the best ending in a truly bizarre spinning of half truths.
