Now that Christmas is over do you start taking down your tree and decorations? My family always waits till after New Years’ to take anything down. There are some though that like to take down everything right after Christmas but apparently, there is a tradition that dates back to the 4th century to keep the tree up until the “Twelfth Night”.
The “Twelfth Night” falls on January 5 or 6th this year and any longer than that can cause bad luck according to the tradition. Some people keep their trees up until New Year’s Eve and then take everything down and others start taking decorations down in February.
